Joseph N. Corriere, Jr., MD is a professor of urology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, and medical director of Genitourinary Cancer Center at MD Anderson. He has served as president of the South Central Section of the AUA, the Society of University Urologists, the Houston Urological Society and the Texas Association of Genitourinary Surgeons. He also served as vice president of the American Board of Urology, and chairman of the Liaison Committee for the American Society of Andrology. He has authored numerous articles in scientific journals such as The Journal of Urology® and has contributed chapters to various books. Dr. Corriere served as the director of the AUA Office of Education from 1993 to 2002. He is the recipient of many honors and awards, including the AUA's prestigious Distinguished Service award in 2000, and the American Foundation for Urologic Disease's Russell and Mary Hugh Scott Education Award in 1994. Dr. Corriere has been a member of the AUA since 1973.
