AMERICAN UROLOGICAL ASSOCIATION NAMES NEW DIRECTOR OF MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS

 

LINTHICUM, MD, January 22, 2010—Patricia Banks, MS, an international marketing and communications leader with more than 15 years of experience, has joined the American Urological Association (AUA) to direct its marketing and communications efforts, the Association announced today. Banks recently served as the vice president of marketing at FactorHealth Alliance.

Ms. Banks’ primary responsibility includes directing the marketing, communications and fulfillment areas of the AUA. She is tasked with establishing policies and practices to maintain and enhance the image of the AUA and the AUA Foundation, developing and coordinating marketing strategies, directing public and media relations, and managing internal production and fulfillment of Association publications.

“Patricia’s extensive marketing and communications background at the executive level made her a clear choice for this position,” said AUA Associate Executive Director of Information & Communications Peter J. Plourd II. “We are glad to have her on board and look forward to her contributions to the AUA and its membership.”

Ms. Banks previously served as the chief operations officer at HCP/Aboard Publishing and the assistant vice president of international marketing at Interval International. She earned her master’s of science degree in economics from the London School of Economics and her bachelor’s of science degree in economics from Barry University in Miami, FL.
