MCANINCH HONORED BY AMERICAN COLLEGE OF SURGEONS
On September 30, the American College of Surgeons (ACS) honored AUA past president Jack W. McAninch, MD, FACS with its 2012 Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his “steadfast and inspirational commitment to the initiatives and principles” of the College, for his service to the organization, his work as a surgeon and leader in the surgical community and for his dedication to educating students and surgeons. The Distinguished Service Award is the highest award given by the organization. Dr. McAninch served as president of the AUA from 1996-1997.
