2010 AUA South American Visiting Scholar Program
Background
The AUA Visiting Scholar program was established in 1995 to allow one urologist scholar from a South American country to visit the United States, during which the scholar observes urologic surgeries/procedures, attends clinics and staff activities. The scholar does not perform surgery or hands-on patient care. The program fosters the alliance between the AUA and South American Urological Associations and will assist in identifying future leaders within those organizations.
This program allows one South American scholar to visit one U.S. host institution for a two-month period (Spring), and an additional week to attend the AUA Annual Meeting.
