Policy Title

Neurourology/Urodynamics

The American Urological Association (AUA) and the AUA Foundation consider neurourology to be a broad term that includes the diagnosis and treatment of complex lower urinary tract dysfunction, erectile dysfunction or impotence and the use of multi-parameter urodynamic studies to evaluate, categorize and treat patients with complex lower urinary tract dysfunctions. Urodynamics is an integral part of urology and is best performed and taught by urologists who are most knowledgable in diseases of the urinary tract.
