When disaster strikes, relief efforts are critical to saving lives and helping sustain communities. The global healthcare community can play a pivotal role in supporting the people who need it most. In March 2011, a deadly earthquake followed by a massive tsunami struck northeastern Japan, leaving behind widespread devastation. In the aftermath of such a disaster, many are in dire need of assistance and resources. From the initial clean-up and relief operation to reconstruction, the road to recovery in Japan will be long and the need is great.
Through the American Red Cross, the AUA has developed an online giving site. United Urology: Together in Giving allows members of our community from around the world to come together and provide relief in the name of urology.
The AUA has made a donation of $25,000 to United Urology: Together in Giving. We hope you will join the AUA in this relief effort and give generously to those impacted by this tragedy. By coming together as one, the urology community can show support for our colleagues, our friends and the entire Japanese community affected by this disaster. Help us help them. Please give today!
If you would like to be acknowledged for your gift, please forward a copy of your receipt to Communications@AUAnet.org.
