Q. How many questions are on the SASP?
A. 150 new multiple choice questions are included in each annually produced SASP
Q. How many CME Credits do I get for completing the SASP?
A. A maximum of 20 AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credits™ may be earned for each year for the current three years
Q. Is there a required passing score for credits?
A. There is not a passing score for the SASP
Q. What are the different formats of the SASP?
A. Booklet – paper version with bubble answer sheet
- CD – 5 different years of questions
- Online and Online Bundle – Online versions of the SASP
- Qstream (formally Spaced Education) – an emailed reminder with a link to the SASP questions is sent. You determine the number and frequency of questions you receive
Q. How do I claim credits?
A. Each format is a little different in the process of claiming credits:
- Booklet – Complete the answer sheet and return by mail in the envelope provided
- CD – Upon completion of the SASP, you should select from the menu the option to print the answer responses and fax the answer sheet to the number provided on the print out
- Online and Online Bundle – Upon completion of the SASP, you should select from the menu Submit answers for credit
- Qstream – Once you have viewed each of the 150 questions, you will be emailed a link to claim the credit. You will also receive a reminder to claim credits when you retire all 150 questions
Q. How long does it take to receive the credits?
A. Because each format is a little different the time may vary.
- Booklet answer sheets or Online/Online Bundle – if answers are submitted by Friday, credit is usually applied to your transcripts on the following Monday
- SASP Qstream – Once you view all 150 questions and receive the email for the credit, you must complete the survey and claim your credits. Immediately the credits will be applied to your account
- CD-Rom – Please allow 3-4 weeks to process your credits
Q. The CD-Rom comes with 5 years of exams, how many credits can I claim?
A. You may claim a maximum of 60 AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credits™. 60 CME credits after successful completion of the current three years.
Q. How long does it take to receive the product?

- Booklet or CD-Rom – Please allow 7-10 business days to receive the product
- The Online/Online Bundle – can be accessed immediately with a processed order. Click here to access.
- Qstream – An invitation/access email is sent on the next business day
Q. I purchased two books, which answer sheet goes with which exam?
A. You may use any answer sheet provided with SASP books.
Q. Are the correct answers provided?
A. Yes, the answers and reference materials are provided. Accessing the answers and reference material vary by format:
- Booklet – The booklet is divided in two parts: Part I -150 multiple choice questions; Part II – comments, references, and answers for each question
- CD-Rom, Online, and Online bundle – if you choose the "Open Book" option, you will answer a question and on the following screen will see the correct answer and reference materials.
- Spaced Education – once you submit an answer to a question, you will see the correct answer, reference materials, and how your peers answered the question
