For more than 30 years, the AUA's Self-Assessment Study Program (SASP) has been a leading educational resource for urologists-in-training and practicing urologists.
What makes the SASP unique?
- now being offered in a online spaced education format
- offers a great way to sharpen clinical skills, prepare for an examination, and stay abreast of updated standards of practice in therapeutic areas
- 20 percent of the content of the ABU Recertification Examination comes from the SASP
- examination may be taken open or closed book
- participants are provided with their scores, the scores of their peers and access to answer commentary and scientific references, allowing participants to evaluate their strengths and weaknesses in various clinical areas
- participants can fulfill CME requirements mandated by the ABU MOC© process
Each year, a new 150-item multiple choice SASP examination is developed that addresses several aspects of the core competencies of medical knowledge and patient care.

New! Spaced Education Format
The 2010 SASP is now available as an online Spaced Education program! Thousands of urologists and urology residents have experienced Spaced Education over the last three years in AUA conducted random study trials, and have found it to be an easy, effective, and enjoyable method to learn and retain urology content.
You select the number and frequency of SASP questions to be sent via e-mail to your computer or mobile device. Upon submitting answers to each question, you receive immediate feedback with correct answers, detailed answer rationales, references and how your peers answered this question. The adaptive algorithm will tailor the spacing and content of the program based on your performance, and a program dashboard will allow you to monitor your overall progress. CME credit will be awarded after answering all the questions once.
To assist with your self-study, you will also be provided with a PDF copy of the 2010 SASP when you claim your credits.
