Pathology for Urologists: An Educational Program

This program was designed to help urology residents familiarize themselves with the pathologic features of the more common urologic entities. To navigate through the tutorial sections, click on any of the buttons at the left. Once you have opened a tutorial section, enlargements and additional photographs may be viewed by clicking on the individual pictures. A "self-test" session is included at the end of each didactic portion, in addition to a large question-and-answer section at the end of the program. To return to this table of contents, click "home".

I would like to acknowledge the help of Dr. Herb Hagler, of the Department of Pathology, whose unfailing support and encouragement on this project helped me finish what seemed to be an impossible task. There were many times that I envied his eternal optimism and marveled at his steadfast faith in my computer programming skills.

Additional thanks to Dr. Key Stage and Dr. Warren Snodgrass, of the Department of Urology, who provided many beautiful clinical photographs, and took time out of their busy schedules to teach me a little about the clinical side of urology. Thanks must also be extended to the faculty and residents of the Department of Pathology -- past and present -- who took the time to photograph some of the most fabulous urologic pathology cases over the last thirty years. Without those photographs, this program would not have been nearly as entertaining...

And now: on with the show!
