Cystitis Cystica
|
- Gross features: appear as pearly or luminescent cysts, particularly involving the trigone of the bladder
- Histologic features:
- nests of benign urothelial cells with central cystic degeneration (so basically they look like von Brunn’s nests with a hole in the middle)
- lining cells are urothelial (as opposed to cystitis glandularis...)
