- Function: conduct spermatozoa from epididymis to urethra
- Histologic features:
- thick walled muscular tube consisting of three layers
- lined by pseudostratified ciliated epithelium (like the epididymis)thrown into folds to create a stellate lumen (vs. the epididymis, which has a smooth tubular lumen).
