Hemangioma, Leiomyoma and Lipoma

  • Very rare.
  • Morphology similar to their more common soft tissue counterparts.
  • Most renal leiomyoma or so-called "capsuloma" may represent smooth muscle-predominant AML (+ for smooth muscle markers, - for melanoma markers HMB-45 or Mart1) (image A) & (image B).

  • Renal hemangiomas usually cavernous type and some may have sinusoidal capillary with hob-nailed cells (anastomosing hemangioma) (image C) & (image D).
