ABU Examinations

The American Board of Urology (ABU)
The mission of the ABU is to act for the benefit of the public to insure high quality, safe, efficient, and ethical practice of Urology by establishing and maintaining standards of certification for urologist.

The ABU Qualifying Examination (Part 1)
The ABU Qualifying Examination (QE) is the first step in the certification process. A resident may enter the certification process upon meeting the Board's pre-urology training requirements and completing at least six months of chief residency in an approved U.S. or Canadian program.
