Residency Grant Programs

For over 15 years, the American Urological Association (AUA) Residency Grant Programs extend to all programs in the United States and Canada, and encompasses more than 1,400 residents. Designed to encourage Resident membership in the AUA, the Residency Grant Program builds a connection among the Program Directors, their residents and the AUA, while helping to grow AUA membership.

Urology Programs with 100 percent 1st and 2nd Year Residents as AUA Members

Urology Programs with 100 percent 3rd and 4th Year Residents as AUA Members

Urology Programs with 100 percent of 1st and 2nd Year Residents as AUA Members

Purpose

To encourage Urological Residency Programs to support AUA membership recruitment and retention among their 1st and 2nd year residents.

Qualifications

All of the following qualifications must be met:

AUA staff will develop a list of those Urological Residency Programs meeting these criteria for consideration of the grant.

Winners Selection

Use of Award Monies

The grant is to be used to directly support Resident/Fellow Members in their programs. For example, the monies could be used to fund their AUA/Section dues, reimburse travel expenses associated with attending the AUA Annual Meetingor other continuing medical education (CME) program, or pay for ABU certification fees, or could be awarded to one or more of the Resident Members at the Program Director's discretion or any similar direct support of activities for Resident Members.

Funding Responsibility

The AUA, as a 501(C)(6) organization, makes this grant available to the Urological Residency Programs as stipulated herein. The reporting of such receipts is the responsibility of the recipient.
