Module 1: Update on AUA Cancer-Related Guidelines: Preparation for Certification

Introduction/Activity Overview Statement of Need

Cancer-related guidelines and best practice policies will be condensed, reviewed and highlighted with emphasis on clinically-based scenarios that may be encountered by the physician in the office and in testing situations. This course will be helpful for residents preparing for their Certification exam, physicians preparing for their re-certification exam (that will contain guideline-based questions) and non-physician providers who treat cancer patients.

Learning Objectives

After participating in this activity, participants should be able to:

  • measure common case scenarios that are aided by AUA cancer-related guidelines
  • exhibit core knowledge of AUA cancer-related guidelines and their appropriate application
  • improve diagnostic and therapeutic decision-making process based on evidence for urologic malignancies
