AUA South American Visiting Scholar Program

The American Urological Association’s (AUA’s) Visiting Scholar program was established in 1995 to allow one urologist from a South American country to visit the United States, during which the scholar observes urologic surgeries/procedures, and attends clinics and staff activities. The scholar does not perform surgery or hands-on patient care. The program fosters the alliance between the AUA and South American Urological Associations and assists in identifying future leaders within those organizations.

We are no longer accepting applications for the 2015 South American Visiting Scholar Program.

Program Schedule

This program allows one South American scholar to visit a U.S. host institution(s) for a two-month period (in the spring), and an additional week to attend the AUA Annual Meeting.
