Travel Support Application Instructions

The American Urological Association (AUA) is pleased to offer travel funds to subsidize a portion of travel and lodging costs associated with attendance to the Basic Science Symposium. Reimbursement for the cost of parking is available for local travel. Full travel awards will cover up to $500 for transportation (coach airfare, parking, taxi) and $500 for hotel. Partial travel awards will cover up to $500 in hotel or travel expenses. All reimbursement will require appropriate receipts.

TRAVEL AWARD RECIPIENTS MUST REGISTER FOR THE AUA ANNUAL MEETING. TRAVEL AWARD FUNDS ARE LIMITED TO PART OR ALL OF THE RECIPIENTS' TRAVEL AND HOTEL EXPENSES AND MAY NOT BE USED FOR REGISTRATION, MEALS OR OTHER EXPENSES.

Selection Criteria

Travel awards applications will be reviewed by the Program Committee and ranked according to the background and needs of the applicant and the scientific merit, novelty, significance and scientific rigor of the project submitted in the abstract. TRAVEL AWARD RECIPIENTS MUST REGISTER FOR THE AUA ANNUAL MEETING. TRAVEL AWARD FUNDS ARE LIMITED TO PART OR ALL OF THE RECIPIENTS' TRAVEL AND HOTEL EXPENSES AND MAY NOT BE USED FOR REGISTRATION, MEALS OR OTHER EXPENSES. Travel awardees (no guests) are invited attend the Urology Care Foundation Research Honors Awards Program and Reception, which immediately follows the Basic Science Symposium.

All applicants will be notified by e-mail on or before April 1, 2014 whether his/her travel award has been approved. Travel arrangements must be completed no later than Friday, April 18, 2014.
