Criteria for Review
The Applicant's achievements (as reflected by awards, honors, etc.) should indicate his or her sincere interest in urology research.
The Applicant's stated career goals, and the letters of recommendation should provide indications of his or her commitment to pursuing urology disease research throughout his or her career.
Residency Program Chair and Urology Department Head
The letters of support from should emphasize the Applicant’s performance in residency thus far and potential for a career in urology. The letters include a solid plan to utilize the Applicant during their research training. It should be very clear that the Applicant’s Mentor is strongly supportive of urology research, possesses expertise to provide sufficient scientific guidance and oversight. It should also be clear that the Applicant will have at least 80% protected time for research training during the award period.
Criteria for the Institution
The training environment will be evaluated based on the ongoing urology disease research and how that will promote the development of the Applicant.
Selections are based on the results of the review panel. Applications will be reviewed following the application deadline and applicants will be notified by mail no later than March 31, 2013. All applicants will be advised of the results. Results will not be given over the phone. Please wait for notification by mail.
