Urology Care Foundation Residency Research Award – ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS!

Urology research is an exciting and vital medical activity. Research training during urology residency provides residents exposure to this potential career path and could increase the number of potential surgeon-scientists. Residency research support could also provide additional manpower for the department and enhance the department’s reputation and publications.

The Urology Care Foundation, the official foundation of the American Urological Association (AUA), is proud to provide the Urology Care Foundation Residency Research Awards. This program is made possible through the support of the Urology Care Foundation and the Russell Scott, Jr., MD Urology Research Fund. These awards are designed to fund an outstanding urology resident for a period of one year while the resident fulfills his or her obligation for research training. Each institution is required to provide an institutional match that equals the amount provided by the Urology Care Foundation, and the sponsoring institution ensures that the awardee receives adequate research support.
