AUA Annual Review Program in Mexico
More than 200 Mexican residents participated in the first AUA/SMU/CMUN Annual Review Course held in Mexico City, Mexico, on 20-22 September 2012. The two-and-a-half-day course covered topics including oncology, trauma, reconstruction, female urology, stone disease, prostate disease, erectile dysfunction and pediatrics, provided by faculty from the South Central Section of the AUA and our Mexican colleagues. With live English-to-Spanish and Spanish-to-English translation, the course was interactive and lively. The session also included resident case presentations and state-of-the-art updates.
Egyptian Residents Participate in AUA/EUA Inaugural Annual Review Course
The inaugural AUA/Egyptian Urological Association (EUA) Annual Review Course was held 1-4 September 2012 in Cairo, Egypt, with nearly 150 participants. The program featured a combination of North American and Egyptian experts covering a wide array of urologic topics. According to Dr. Mohamed Eissa, EUA Secretary General, "the course is a first step in our bond of education. It could expand to provide this opportunity to residents throughout the region and not limited to Egypt."
Urology Residents in India Participate in the 4th Annual AUA/USI Instructional Review Course
The Urological Society of India (USI) and the AUA celebrated the 4th Annual Instructional Review Course, which was held in Hyderabad, India, on 17-19 August 2012, and was attended by more than 125 participants. Over the past four years, this course has trained 500 senior residents throughout India.
Highlights of AUA Program Held in Brazil
The Sociedade Brasileira de Urologia (SBU) and the AUA held its 2nd Highlights of the AUA program in Belo Horizonte, Brazil on June 14, 2013. This dynamic session was held in conjunction with the Congresso do Sudeste de Urologia and was attended by over 300 participants.
