The International Member Committee (IMC) allows the AUA to more effectively reach out and communicate to international urologists and to provide a mechanism for international members to bring their concerns and suggestions to the AUA in an organized way. The IMC consists of an international member representative from each country/region that has at least 75 members in AUA's international membership category.
The Committee discusses and reports to the Section Secretaries/Membership Council the real or perceived member needs of each country/region represented on the Committee and serves, therefore, as a focus group. Committee members are appointed by the AUA President based upon recommendations from the Committee and the AUA Secretary. Recommendations may be solicited from the national urologic associations recognized by each country/region.
