AUA Membership Requirements

International Residents-in-Training Members

Residents Outside of AUA Section Boundaries

There are a few steps that you will have to take to become an AUA International Residents-in-Training member. Please review the list of requirements below and get started on your path to AUA membership by filling out an online application!

The AUA is committed to strengthening our international membership base. We have worked diligently to ensure that AUA membership is within reach to our international residents. As a result, effective 2010, the dues for our IRIT members have been stratified to reflect economic conditions in various countries.

  • Complete the entire application and:
    • submit the $50 (U.S. dollars) nonrefundable application fee.
    • submit your annual AUA membership dues payment – Level C: $50 / Level B: $75 / Level A: $150 – depending on your country classification [pdf].
  • Submit a letter signed by your residency program director on letterhead confirming you are a resident in good standing and your expected graduation date. This letter must be in English, typed or printed clearly (view a sample template).

If you have any questions about these items, please contact the AUA Member Services department.
