Can I sign up for automatic payment of my membership dues?

Yes, the Automatic Dues Renewal Program charges your applicable membership fees to a credit card you provide on or around the renewal date of your membership each year, automatically renewing your membership. Easily retain your membership status annually and avoid the hassle of waiting for an invoice or mailing a payment.

The AUA will contact you each year before charging your card for verification purposes. Enroll in the Automatic Dues Renewal Program online or by contacting the AUA member services department at 410-689-3933 or membership@AUAnet.org.

When will I receive my dues invoice?

The first dues notice is sent via email in September. A series of printed and electronic notices will be sent until payment is received. Renew your dues as soon as possible to help us in our efforts to conserve paper and reduce duplicate mailings. If you are not receiving your invoices, please contact the member services department immediately, as your address may need to be updated.

Why is there an additional charge from the Urology Care Foundation listed on my invoice?

Urologic research is an important part of advancing all facets of urologic patient care. To make it easy for members to support this important cause, an optional donation has been added to the dues renewal invoice. The Urology Care Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and its IRS EIN number is 20-3210212. All donations to the Urology Care Foundation are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. If paying your dues online, you may adjust or delete the amount on the donation line item before submitting payment. If mailing or faxing your dues invoice, you may make adjustments by hand and calculate a new total on the invoice.

Are my AUA Section dues included with my AUA dues payment?

AUA Section membership dues are separate from AUA membership dues.*

  • Section dues for Northeastern, New York and Mid-Atlantic Section Active and Associate members are a separate line item included on the annual AUA dues invoice.
  • Active and Associate members from the Western, North Central, South Central, Southeastern and New England Sections receive a separate invoice from their Section for Section dues.

* Exceptions include Active and Associate members from Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and Nicaragua (South Central Section) as well as Panama (Southeastern Section). Section dues for these members are included in their AUA membership dues, and they are not billed separately.

Do I qualify for a dues reduction or exemption?

In special circumstances, AUA members may qualify for reduced or waived dues on an annual basis. The AUA offers these options to help members maintain their membership in good standing through unexpected or difficult conditions. Review the requirements for a dues reduction or exemption to see if you qualify.

In addition, Active or International members with 20 or more years of membership who are retired or permanently disabled may apply for Senior Membership (dues exempt). Please call a Member Services representative at 410-689-3933 to check your membership record before applying.

I have been paying dues as a Resident/Fellow or Fast Track Associate member. Why have they recently been increased?

Both Resident/Fellow and Fast-Track Associate Members' dues are discounted for up to three years following the completion of residency or fellowship. Once passed the three-year mark, dues are no longer discounted and members pay the same rate as Active and Associate Members.

Can I register for the Annual Meeting before renewing my membership?

Yes, but you will need to pay your membership dues prior to receiving your registration credentials.
