AUA 2020 MIPS Reporting Webinar

Each new year brings changes to the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) reporting program. Therefore, the AUA will host a free webinar featuring experts from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to explain what you need to know about the 2020 MIPS program. The webinar on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. Eastern is exclusive to AUA and PMN members. Register now at Quality@AUAnet.org.

All four MIPS reporting components (Quality, Improvement Activities, Promoting Interoperability, and Cost) were amended and will be explained on the webinar. However, the Cost Category had the most extensive changes. Urologists will want to pay attention to these changes because it includes a new measure on Renal or Ureteral Stone Surgical Treatment.

Additionally, expert CMS speakers will:

  • Review who is required to report
  • Explain how to earn bonus points
  • Highlight free resources
  • Note how you should prepare for MIPS Value Pathways (MVPs) in 2021
  • Take part in an extensive Q&A session

If you have any questions for CMS personnel now, send them to Quality@AUAnet.org. They will be incorporated into the presentation.

In 2020, those who fail to report or do not meet reporting minimums will incur up to a 9 percent negative payment adjustment (penalty). However, participants have the opportunity to earn a bonus, and those deemed “exceptional performers” will earn an additional bonus as well. Why make a financial sacrifice and not attempt to earn a bonus when the AUA is providing free educational resources to help you with MIPS reporting?

Seize this educational opportunity to ask your questions directly to CMS experts to learn and maximize your reporting potential.
