Shantanu Tyagi, MS, MCh, MRCS (Edinburgh) 2026 AUA/IAUA CHAKROBORTTY FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM /images/headshots/2026%20IP%20Scholars/Shantanu%20Tyagi%20Headshot_India.jpg Dr. Shantanu Tyagi is a specialist urologist and fellowship‑trained robotic surgeon with expertise in advanced minimally invasive surgery, robotic reconstructive procedures, uro‑oncology, and complex genitourinary reconstruction. He earned his MBBS degree in 2011 and completed his board certification in urology (MCh) in 2020 at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India. During his training, Dr. Tyagi received several prestigious honors, including the Urological Society of India (USI) Singapore Fellowship, the MAYOCON Gold Medal (2018), and an elective in uro‑oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He also holds the MRCS (Edinburgh) qualification, completed advanced robotic surgery fellowships (AMASI and ARIS), and earned a Master of Surgery degree with Gold Medal distinction. Dr. Tyagi is licensed to practice urology in multiple international jurisdictions, including the General Medical Council (United Kingdom), Dubai Health Authority, and Department of Health (UAE). He currently serves as an Attending Urologist with NMC Healthcare in Dubai. A highly active academic contributor, Dr. Tyagi has presented extensively at international meetings, including the American Urological Association (AUA), European Association of Urology (EAU), Urological Association of Asia (UAA), and the NCCN Annual Conference. His scholarly work includes more than seventy-five peer‑reviewed publications with over 450 citations, spanning robotic surgery, reconstructive urology, endourology, and uro‑oncology. He also serves as a peer reviewer for several international journals. As part of the AUA/IAUA Chakrobortty Fellowship Program, Dr. Tyagi will attend the 2026 AUA Annual Meeting in Washington, DC and observe at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.
