Denis Séguier, MD 2026 AUA/AFU VISITING SCHOLAR PROGRAM /images/headshots/2026%20IP%20Scholars/Seguier%20Updatd%20Photo%20High%20Res.jpeg Dr. Denis Séguier is a clinical urologist (Chef de Clinique Assistant) at Lille University Hospital and a PhD candidate at the University of Lille under the supervision of Professor Jonathan Olivier. His research focuses on focal therapy for localized prostate cancer, with a particular emphasis on post-treatment MRI evaluation, MRI–pathology correlation, and the development of risk-adaptive follow-up strategies. He began his residency in 2018 at Lille University Hospital, where he developed a strong interest in prostate cancer imaging and minimally invasive oncologic therapies. Dr. Séguier earned his medical degree in 2022 with a thesis on morphometric MRI analysis before and after HIFU treatment. During his residency, he spent time at Duke University Hospital (Durham, NC), where he received training in focal therapy research and advanced prostate imaging methodologies. He currently leads or collaborates on several national and international projects. In addition to his oncologic focus, Dr. Séguier is trained in the surgical management of benign prostatic hyperplasia under the mentorship of Professor Olivier, himself an alumni of the AUA/AFU Visiting Scholar Program. He maintains a strong interest in emerging minimally invasive and energy-based technologies for both prostate cancer and BPH. As part of the AUA/AFU Visiting Scholar Program, Dr. Denis Séguier will observe at Yale School of Medicine and attend the 2026 AUA Annual Meeting in Washington, DC.
