  <Biography type="xhtml" UID="90596f3bfc69427f9f79d2727a8feaea" label="Biography" readonly="false" hidden="false" required="false" indexable="false" Height="" CIID="">&lt;p&gt;Dr. Abhijit Patil is a Consultant Urologist and Kidney Transplant Surgeon in the Department of Urology at Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital in Nadiad, India. He completed his urology residency at B. Y. L. Nair Hospital in Mumbai.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Dr. Patil has advanced fellowship training in combined endourology, laparoscopy, and robotic surgery through the Endourological Society (USA) and has completed a Fellowship in Clinical Transplantation from the World Kidney Academy. He holds the Fellow of National Board (Renal Transplant) qualification and is the first surgeon in India to obtain this degree. His clinical and academic focus is centered on kidney transplantation.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He has received multiple prestigious international fellowships and scholarships, including the MIUC International Traveling Fellowship from the Urological Society of India, through which he completed a kidney transplantation observership at NHS Sheffield in the United Kingdom. He is also a recipient of the Korean Urological Association Scholarship to attend KUA 2025 in Seoul and the 2026 Japanese Urological Association Asian Scholarship.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Dr. Patil is the co‑editor of the textbook &lt;em&gt;Practical Guide to Kidney Transplantation&lt;/em&gt; and is a certified Publons Academy Peer Reviewer. He serves as a reviewer for several international journals, including the &lt;em&gt;Indian Journal of Urology&lt;/em&gt;, &lt;em&gt;World Journal of Urology&lt;/em&gt;, &lt;em&gt;BMC Urology&lt;/em&gt;, and &lt;em&gt;International Urology and Nephrology&lt;/em&gt;. His academic output includes thirty-seven indexed peer‑reviewed publications and twelve book chapters, and he has also been awarded the Urological Society of India Member Traveling Fellowship.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As part of the AUA/IAUA Chakrobortty Fellowship Program, Dr. Patil will attend the 2026 AUA Annual Meeting in Washington, DC and observe at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</Biography>
