<Biography type="xhtml" UID="90596f3bfc69427f9f79d2727a8feaea" label="Biography" readonly="false" hidden="false" required="false" indexable="false" Height="" CIID="">
Dr. Gaëlle Margue is an Assistant Professor in Urology at Bordeaux University Hospital and is currently pursuing a PhD within the I.CaRe Bordeaux research program (BRIC U1312, University of Bordeaux) under the supervision of Prof. Jean-Christophe Bernhard. Her doctoral research focuses on optimizing kidney cancer surgery through advanced 3D technologies, real-time augmented-reality guidance, and artificial intelligence. She previously completed her medical thesis on developing UroPredict, a machine-learning model trained on real-world prospective data to predict postoperative recurrence in localized and locally advanced renal cell carcinoma.

In 2022–2023, Dr. Margue completed a dedicated research year within the Digital Urology 3D RHU program, during which she also earned a Master of Science in biomedical imaging and signal processing (TechMed, Université Clermont Auvergne). Her work centered on real-time augmented-reality guidance and automatic renal parenchyma segmentation to support image-guided robot-assisted partial nephrectomy.

Dr. Margue is actively involved in several academic urology networks. She is a member of the AUA, EAU Young Academic Urologists (YAU) Renal Cancer Group, serves as Vice-President of the French Association of Urologists in Training (AFUF), and is part of the FUTUR group, which brings together young academic urologists committed to research, innovation, and education.

Her clinical and scientific interests include minimally invasive and image-guided renal surgery, augmented reality, artificial intelligence for RCC prognostication, and surgical simulation. She is principal investigator or co-investigator in several national UroCCR trials and contributes extensively to kidney cancer research through publications, multicenter collaborations, and presentations at international conferences.

As part of the AUA/AFU Visiting Scholar Program, Dr. Gaelle Margue will observe at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas and attend the 2026 AUA Annual Meeting in Washington, DC.
</Biography>
