  <Biography type="xhtml" UID="90596f3bfc69427f9f79d2727a8feaea" label="Biography" readonly="false" hidden="false" required="false" indexable="false" Height="" CIID="">&lt;p&gt;Dr. Hwanik Kim serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology at Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital, a tertiary academic medical center in South Korea, where he is actively involved in clinical care, research, and academic training.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Dr. Kim completed his medical education, urology residency, and fellowship training at Seoul National University, with advanced subspecialty training in endourology and minimally invasive surgical techniques.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;His clinical practice focuses on endourology, robot‑assisted urologic surgery, and urologic oncology, including the management of benign prostatic hyperplasia, urinary stone disease, and urologic infections.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Dr. Kim&amp;rsquo;s research encompasses a broad spectrum of urologic oncology, with a particular emphasis on prostate cancer, urothelial carcinoma, and renal cell carcinoma. He has published extensively in international peer‑reviewed journals, serving as both first and corresponding author in numerous publications. His research experience includes multicenter collaborative studies, systematic reviews and meta‑analyses, propensity score&amp;ndash;matched analyses, and the development of artificial intelligence&amp;ndash;based clinical prediction models. In addition, he has conducted device‑based and translational research, particularly in perioperative pain management and catheter‑related bladder discomfort.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In parallel with his research activities, Dr. Kim has contributed to academic textbooks and surgical video publications focused on robot‑assisted radical cystectomy and minimally invasive urologic procedures. He also regularly serves as a peer reviewer for several international urology journals.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As part of the AUA/KUA Visiting Scholar Program, Dr. Kim will attend the 2026 AUA Annual Meeting in Washington, DC. Following the meeting, he will observer at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</Biography>
