  <Biography type="xhtml" UID="90596f3bfc69427f9f79d2727a8feaea" label="Biography" readonly="false" hidden="false" required="false" indexable="false" Height="" CIID="">&lt;p&gt;Dr. Francisco Hidelbrando Alves Mota Filho is a national leader in prostate cancer diagnosis, minimally invasive therapies, and urologic innovation in Brazil. He serves as Deputy Chief of the Department of Urology at Santa Casa de Miseric&amp;oacute;rdia de Fortaleza, a major referral center, where he coordinates the Urology Residency Program and leads academic clinical sessions. He is also President of the Cear&amp;aacute; Section of the Brazilian Society of Urology (SBU‑CE), contributing to national efforts in continuing medical education and professional development.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Dr. Mota Filho completed his urology residency in 2015 at the University of S&amp;atilde;o Paulo (USP) in Ribeir&amp;atilde;o Preto. He subsequently completed a fellowship in urologic oncology at Hospital das Cl&amp;iacute;nicas (USP) and Hospital S&amp;iacute;rio‑Liban&amp;ecirc;s in S&amp;atilde;o Paulo, followed by advanced training in minimally invasive and robotic surgery at Hospital Alem&amp;atilde;o Oswaldo Cruz. He also completed a one‑year fellowship in robotic and minimally invasive urologic oncology at Clinique Saint‑Augustin in Bordeaux, France. Dr. Mota Filho holds a PhD from the University of S&amp;atilde;o Paulo, with research focused on prostate cancer and prostate biopsy.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A pioneer in the adoption of high‑frequency micro‑ultrasound for prostate cancer diagnosis in Brazil, Dr. Mota Filho helped establish the country&amp;rsquo;s first center to implement this technology. He has played a key role in the national dissemination of trans perineal prostate biopsy techniques and has expanded the clinical application of image‑guided perineal therapies for prostate disease. He has presented his work at major international meetings, including the American Urological Association (AUA).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;His clinical and research interests include prostate cancer imaging, micro‑ultrasound, trans perineal biopsy, focal therapy, and robotic surgery.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As part of the AUA/CAU Visiting Scholar Program, Dr. Mota Filho will attend the 2026 AUA Annual Meeting in Washington, DC and observe at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.&lt;/p&gt;</Biography>
