<p>Dr. Michael E. Chua, MD, MASc (Global Health), DSc, FACS FRCSC DRCPSC, is Assistant Professor of Global Surgery at the University of Toronto and Program Director of the Pediatric Urology Fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). A pediatric and adult genitourinary reconstructive urologist, he also serves as Section Chief for Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery and Transitional Urology at St. Luke’s Medical Center in the Philippines. Dr. Chua’s scholarship focuses on transitional urologic care, complex reconstruction, pediatric stone disease, AI/learning health networks, and global‑surgery capacity building. His work appears in journals such as <em>The Journal of Urology, JAMA Network Open</em>, and <em>Pediatrics</em>. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American College of Surgeons, and he received the 2024 Datta G. Wagle Young Investigator Award from the Northeastern Section of the AUA.</p>
<p>As part of the AUA/SBU Exchange Program, Dr. Chua will attend the SBU Paulista Congress and observe at an academic center in Sao Paulo. </p>
