  <Biography type="xhtml" UID="90596f3bfc69427f9f79d2727a8feaea" label="Biography" readonly="false" hidden="false" required="false" indexable="false" Height="" CIID="">&lt;p&gt;Dr. Denise Asafu-Adjei is a Board-certified urologist, researcher, and health policy champion. She is an Assistant Professor of Urology at University of Chicago, where she serves as the Medical Director of Men&amp;rsquo;s Health and Male Reproductive Medicine. She is a well published clinical researcher with a focus on erectile dysfunction and preventive health, including dementias and aging, artificial intelligence (AI) and informatics in men&amp;rsquo;s health, and male infertility care.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Dr. Asafu-Adjei completed an Andrology Fellowship at the University of California Los Angeles from&amp;nbsp;2020-2021. She completed her Urology residency in 2020 at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She received her MD from the University of Michigan Medical School. During medical school, she obtained an MPH in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. A proud Bronx native, she is an alumna of the renowned Bronx High School of Science.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Dr. Asafu-Adjei is actively involved in her professional societies, having served on regional and national committees with the AUA, Sexual Medicine Society of North America, American Society for Reproductive Medicine, International Society for Sexual Medicine, and the National Medical Association. She is a member of the 2025 AUA Leadership Class and was the 2023 AUA Gallagher Health Policy Scholar. Dr. Asafu-Adjei currently serves as the AUA Chair of the Health Advancement and Impact Committee. She is a member of the AUA Federal Affairs Committee and Telehealth and Technology Committee. In the North Central Section of the AUA, she is the Illinois representative to the Health Policy Council and Chair of the Women in Urology Committee. She is also a member of the American Medical Informatics Association, with a Certificate in Health Informatics from Loyola University Chicago and a Certificate in AI and Healthcare from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is Board-eligible in Clinical Informatics, a rare qualification amongst surgeons. Dr. Asafu-Adjei is a member of the University of Chicago Medical Center AI Governance Board.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As part of the AUA/EAU Exchange Program, Dr. Asafu-Adjei attended the 2026 EAU Congress in London, United Kingdom and observed at Universitair Ziekenhuis Leuven in Belgium and in the United Kingdom at Southmead Hospital and St. Thomas Hospital.&lt;/p&gt;</Biography>
