<p>Proper patient selection is critical to ensure appropriate use of PAE and ensure successful patient outcomes. This includes a full urologic evaluation to confirm LUTS/BPH and exclude other possible etiologies of LUTS. Collaborative involvement with both urology and interventional radiology is essential to ensure this. The high rate of recurrence after PAE highlights the need for initial and continued urologic care.</p>
