Education Specialist (Governance & Accreditation)
<p>The American Urological Association (AUA), the premier association for the advancement of urologic patient care, is seeking a professional Administrative Assistant, in our Governance & Accreditation department, to join our dedicated Office of Education team in producing top-quality educational opportunities for physicians.<br /><br />This exciting, full-time position is responsible for assisting the manager in adhering to the ACCME policies that are relevant to the AUA, as well as to the Accreditation with Commendation Criteria and the ACCME Standards for Commercial Support by reviewing documentation including, programs, agendas, and disclosures. Assists with the content review process and the Content Review Workgroup meetings by maintaining an accurate list of active content reviewers and content review schedules. Assists the manager to collect and report metrics from needs assessments and other outcomes measurement tools for Office of Education (OE) education initiatives. Supports the manager with the Education Committees and Workgroups meetings and special projects.</p>
<h4>The successful candidate will have:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Associate degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred;</li>
<li>Minimum of 1 year in medical education preferred;</li>
<li>Working knowledge of ACCME accreditation;</li>
<li>Proficient level of Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel;</li>
<li>Ability to work in a fast paced environment, ensuring deadlines are met;</li>
<li>Ability to organize and track documentations for multiple projects;</li>
<li>Must have excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills (written and oral), including attention to detail;</li>
<li>Takes initiative and has willingness to take ownership for assigned work;</li>
<li>Must be flexible and customer focused, with excellent telephone etiquette;</li>
<li>Professional attitude and appearance required;</li>
<li>Familiarity with non-profits/medical associations/medical terminology a plus;</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and as a member of AUA/OE team;</li>
<li>Must be available for occasional weekend and/or extended hours as required.</li>
