AUA2023 Register – Press Registration

Press registration for #AUA23 is restricted to credentialed members of the media. All media registering for the meeting agree to abide by the AUA embargo policy for the Annual Meeting.

Credentials are granted to freelance journalists or journalists employed by consumer newspapers/magazines, medical journals, news organizations, online/digital outlets or trade publications attending the meeting for the purpose of editorial coverage who meet certain criteria.

Outlets must:

  • Publish regular, original, editorial content
  • Maintain editorial freedom from sponsors, funders and advertisers
  • Have multiple sponsors (no single-sponsor publications)

Who is NOT eligible for press registration?

  • Industry/Exhibitor representatives.
  • Representatives or consultants from communications or PR agencies and firms.
  • Physicians or other providers seeking continuing medical education (CME) credit or certificates of attendance. Paid registration is required to obtain CME credit or other documentation. No certificates of attendance or CME credit will be provided to media registrants.

Required Documentation for Media

In order to finalize press credentials for #AUA23, journalists must submit the following information with their registration:

  • Returning journalists: Original coverage of the 2022 Annual Meeting
  • New journalists: Letter of assignment from the media organization being represented and two bylined health/medical/science articles published within the past nine months.

Dual registration is prohibited. Physicians covering #AUA23 for a media outlet must register as either a regular attendee or as media – they cannot register as both.

Physicians registered as media will not earn CME credits.
