FREE PROGRAM

FUTURE in Urology is an incubator program for pre-clinical and third-year medical students from all demographic backgrounds who are dedicated to increasing the urology workforce and supporting equitable health care. It is designed to encourage these students to consider a career in urology. It will provide opportunities to network, develop longitudinal relationships and cultivate diverse interest in our specialty.

Participants receive:

  • Networking & Mentoring
  • Exposure to Research & Clinical Practice in Urology
  • Mentorship from an Experienced Practicing Urologist
  • Free Participation in Research Reception

8 a.m.

Mentor and Mentee in-person introductions

8:15 a.m.

Introduction, purpose, and greetings by key leadership and sponsor

8:30 a.m.

Start of Mentor/Mentee Day photographs

8:45 a.m.

Mentor and Mentee interaction and participation in various Annual Meeting events and programs

Noon – 1 p.m.

Lunch with Mentors and Mentees

1:05 – 4:15 p.m.

FREE PROGRAM – Open to all Medical Students/Residents

Join the AUA Medical Student Education Committee for the largest gathering of medical students at the Annual Meeting. This year's Forum will feature interactive discussions with our esteemed panel on a variety of topics, including medical student clerkships, the Urology Residency Match process and research for medical students. Stay after the Forum for the Medical Student Mingle and network with both experts and fellow medical students!

NEW Medical Student Speed Mentoring

4 – 5 p.m.

The Medical Student Speed Mentoring program offers medical students the chance to engage in five dynamic, 10-minute conversations with residents and fellows from programs across the country.
