AUA Patient Perspectives Program

AUA2026 – Patient Perspectives

The AUA Patient Perspectives Program, held during the Annual Meeting, amplifies patient voices by sharing personal experiences and raising awareness of urologic conditions. Now in its fifth year, it brings patients, caregivers, advocates, and providers to a national stage, fostering understanding between lived experiences and clinical practice to improve patient care, strengthen physician-patient communication, and advance health outcomes for all urologic patients.

We are inviting you to share your story for consideration to present at the 2026 Annual Meeting in Washington, DC! Submissions must be received by Monday, March 2, 2026.

Your Story Can Make a Difference

Leverage the power of storytelling to bridge the gap between patient experiences and clinical understanding

  • Help Improve Care for All Urologic Patients: Patient's sharing their lived experiences can provide crucial context beyond just medical symptoms. By sharing your story, you can help physicians build a deeper understanding of a patient’s experience and add depth to clinical decision making.
  • Connect with the Patient Community: Meet and engage with other urologic patients, caregivers/care partners, and advocates from across the nation!
  • Network with Experts: Connect with leading urologists and healthcare professionals from around the globe.
  • Gain National Recognition: Have your story featured and promoted in AUANews and social media.
