AUA2027 – Abstract Reviewers

The application has closed. Applicants will be contacted by late September.

Abstract Reviewers play a vital role in ensuring abstract selections for the AUA Annual Meeting are fair and equitable. The scores and feedback provided by abstract reviewers aid the review team leaders, and the Scientific Program Chair (the AUA Secretary) in selecting valid, high-quality research for presentation at AUA2027.

Benefits of Serving as an Abstract Reviewer

  • Opportunity to become involved in the AUA and influence the direction of the field of urology
  • Reviewers get a firsthand look at the abstracts and help develop the scientific content presented during the meeting
  • Potential opportunity to participate in the meeting as an abstract session moderator for the category in which you served as a reviewer

Eligibility

  • Active AUA membership is required. To check your membership status, visit myAUA and select "My Membership". If you are interested in becoming a member, join here.
  • A current disclosure record is required and will be reviewed. Visit myAUA and select "COI Disclosures". Disclosure records are considered current if the last confirmed date is January 1, 2026, or after. If you have a disclosure that meets the definition of owner or employee, you cannot participate in this activity.
    • Ineligible company = primary business is producing, marketing, selling, re-selling, or distributing health care products used by or on patients.
    • Owners = individuals who have an ownership interest in a company, except for stockholders of publicly traded companies, or holders of shares through a pension or mutual fund.
    • Employees = individuals hired to work for another person or business (the employer) for compensation and who are subject to the employer's direction as to the details of how to perform the job.
  • Medical/graduate students are not eligible

Expectations

Those approved to participate in the review process must commit to review all assigned abstracts within the review period. Additional information and instructions will be provided in October.
