AUA2025 – Attendee Info

Who is eligible for the two-night hotel credit offered by the AUA?

Any AUA Resident/Fellow or International Resident-In-Training member will be eligible provided your RSVP is received as one of the first 100 individuals who apply for the credit.

Which nights of my hotel stay will be covered by the AUA?

The AUA will cover the cost for those qualifying for the hotel credit for the following nights: Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26

I’m participating in the Residents Bowl and/or The Global Residents Leadership Retreat. Can I also qualify for the hotel credit for attending the AUA Residents Forum program?

No. Those participating in the Residents Bowl and/or The Global Residents Leadership Retreat are not eligible to receive the hotel credit because they receive a separate travel stipend from the AUA.

I received AUA funding to attend the Residents Forum program last year. Do I still qualify?

Yes. Eligibility is not dependent on past funding. Hotel credits are made available to qualifying resident and fellow members each year on a first-come, first-served basis.

Do I need to fill out financial paperwork in order to receive the hotel credit?

No. Financial documents are not required to receive the hotel credit.

I received a confirmation email that I qualify to receive the two-night hotel credit, but I’ve already booked my hotel. What should I do?

If you’ve booked a room at Treasure Island, you will not need to modify or change your reservation. If you’ve made a reservation at another hotel (either within or outside the AUA housing block), you must cancel the reservation and rebook at Treasure Island.

Will the AUA allow me to use the two-night credit at any other hotel?

No. In order to receive the hotel credit, you must reserve a room at Treasure Island.

Can my program receive the credit?

No. The two-night hotel credit is applied to the hotel reservation for the qualifying individual. The value of the credit cannot be applied to any other expense, nor paid to any other individual/entity.

Another resident at my institution also qualified to receive the hotel credit. If we decide to share a room at Treasure Island, can we both use our credits toward the hotel stay?

Yes, two residents and/or fellows who qualify for a hotel credit may choose to share a room. In this case, both credits will be applied to the stay for a total of four nights. Please note, in order to have the value of all four nights applied to the stay, the person completing the reservation MUST include the name and email of the additional occupant in the “Room Shares” section of the reservation form.

I qualified for the hotel credit and booked my hotel room through OnPeak. Why is the cost for my stay not reflecting the two-night credit?

The hotel credit is applied to your reservation onsite and not at the time of online booking. You will receive a revised invoice from the hotel upon checkout that reflects the credit for the two nights covered by the AUA.

I’m on the waitlist to receive the hotel credit. Where and when should I reserve my hotel stay?

Residents on the waitlist are encouraged to book their hotel stay as soon as possible at the AUA2025 designated resident hotel, Treasure Island. If the benefit becomes available, the AUA will automatically apply the two-night hotel credit to your existing reservation at Treasure Island.

I’m still on the waitlist. When will I find out if I will be receiving the credit?

Individuals on the waitlist will be contacted no later than the second week of April if a spot becomes available.

Do I need to attend the Forum to receive the two-night hotel credit?

Yes, you do need to attend the Forum to receive the hotel credit and must sign in and have your badge scanned by an AUA staff member upon arrival at the program. If you do not attend the onsite program, we will send you an email notification to inform you of loss of your hotel credit benefit.

The hotel didn’t apply my two-night hotel credit to the room reservation. Who should I contact?

Please contact the AUA’s official housing partner, OnPeak, at 866-772-4409.

If I am unable to attend the program in-person, can I still receive the Forum presentations?

Yes, a recording of the Residents Forum will be available On Demand following the meeting as part of all registration packages (Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze).
