News You Can Use – New Urology Specific Measures
For the 2024 performance year, the AQUA Registry will be offering the following new urology-specific measures:
- AQUA35: Non-Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer: Initial Management/Surveillance for Non-Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer
- AQUA36: Prostate Cancer: Confirmation Biopsy in Newly Diagnosed Patients on Active Surveillance
As new measures, both of the above quality measures are subject to a 7-point floor. Meaning, if you submit these measures, for 2024 MIPS, you will receive at least 7 points.
Additionally, if enough participants report on these measures, and CMS is able to establish a historical benchmark for the 2024PY, then the measures could be worth up to 10 points.
