Residency Research Awards

Residency Research Awards provide urology residents with research training to enable them to build momentum toward a career that includes research.

Awards are $10,000 each, restricted to research supplies and other resources needed to conduct a 3-12 month research project during the resident's research training period. Residents must be able to maintain 80% protected time for the duration of the research project.

Funding Details

  • For the 2027 Cycle, funding is only available to support projects in the following topic areas:
    • Erectile Dysfunction
    • Prostate Cancer
    • Neurourology
  • Two Awards Available
  • $10,000 of support per award
  • 3- to12-month Period of Performance beginning July 1, 2027
  • 80% Level of Effort Requirement
  • Funding Restrictions:
    • Research supplies, services, and/or database access
    • Research education (coursework or workshops related to the proposed research project)
    • Other non-personnel resources needed to conduct the proposed research project
