Volunteer Opportunities

The AUA has approximately 600 volunteers who serve on various committees and hundreds more who help with AUA's publications, year round courses and the annual meeting scientific program. This site highlights a number of volunteer opportunities which range from short term assignments that expose volunteers to AUA's programs to long term commitments that require more extensive expertise.

Councils, Committees & Editorial Boards

Applications for 2027-2028 appointments to Councils, Committees and Editorial Boards are accepted from July 1 to Sept 15.

The list of openings available on the application is determined by your membership category and geographic section in AUA’s membership database. The member criteria will be displayed once your selection is made on the application. Your application paragraph should address the criteria provided. Some openings will also have a unique qualification indicating additional requirements for this application cycle. Please review the member qualifications prior to submitting your application and uploading your CV. 

All applications will be reviewed for consideration based upon the member criteria. Members will be notified if they are selected this fall. Terms for new members will begin next year.
