Three AQUA-Developed Measures Receive CMS Benchmarks
The AUA Quality (AQUA) Registry remains a one-stop reporting solution for urologic practices participating in the Quality Payment Program (QPP) and Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS). A key advantage of AQUA is its ability to support urology-specific quality measures that reflect the realities of specialty care, helping practices report more meaningfully while advancing quality improvement efforts.
That value is now even more tangible: for the 2026 MIPS performance year, AQUA supports 54 quality measures, and three AQUA-developed measures—AQUA8, AQUA14, and AQUA15—continue to hold CMS historical benchmark status. Earning a benchmark is a meaningful achievement because CMS requires sufficient reporting volume before a measure can be scored against historical performance data. For participating practices, benchmarked measures can offer greater scoring clarity and reinforce the growing impact of urology-led quality measurement.
