Both the American Urological Association (AUA) and the European Association of Urology (EAU) recognize the opportunities and challenges that artificial intelligence (AI) presents. We share a commitment to integrating AI into our operations thoughtfully and in ways that align with our longstanding values, serve our missions, and contribute positively to society. Together, we aim to harness AI responsibly - for innovation, relevance, and the greater good.

As part of this shared commitment, both organizations affirm their dedication to protecting intellectual property and copyright. We respect the creative and proprietary work of one another. Use of any materials from either organization, including reliance within abstract submissions, requires written permission or licensing prior to use. If materials are used without the necessary permissions, we may share relevant details with one another to ensure alignment.

Furthermore, both organizations prohibit the use, upload, or reproduction - in whole or in part - of their materials on any external platforms or software, including those that incorporate AI technologies, unless prior written authorization has been obtained.

Any permission granted by one organization does not imply or include permission from the other. Each organization maintains the right to enforce its policies independently and will take appropriate action in cases of non-compliance.

We stand together in ensuring that our values are reflected not only in how we operate today, but also in how we shape our future with AI.
