Getting Started with PrinterLogic

View Installed Printers

  • Users should be assigned all shared printers and copiers on their floor upon login
  • Users with personal printers will additionally be assigned their personal printer as their default
  • To view installed printers' type “Printers & Scanners” into Windows search and hit enter
  • The naming convention for both printers and copiers has been condensed

Add a Printer

  • If you will be printing to a device that is on a different floor, you will need to add the printer
  • To use the PrinterLogic Portal, you must first enable the Chrome browser extension
    1. Open Google Chrome and click the 3 dots in the top right and choose “Settings”.
    2. On the bottom left of the next page click “Extensions”, and then click the switch to enable PrinterLogic

    3. In Google Chrome and navigate to https://aua.printercloud.com/

If your default browser is Google Chrome, you can also go the bottom right to the notifications area of the taskbar, click the arrow, and then right-click the PrinterLogic icon and choose “Add Printer…”
    4. Expand the “Linthicum” folder and click on the floor folder where the new device is located.

You will be able to view the floor map to see where all devices are located.

Addable printers will appear as small printer icons which you can hover over and click “Install Printer” to install.

Proceed to click “Yes” when it asks you to install, and observe the installation progress box

Note that personal printers will NOT appear on the map to be added by other users

    Printer Logic FAQ/Troubleshooting

Q: How do I change my default printer?

A: After looking at your list of printers, you may want to choose a default that is most convenient.  Use the Windows search to type “Printers & Scanners” and hit enter.  Scroll down under the list of printers and make sure the box for “Let Windows manage my default printer” is unchecked. Then, click the printer you want as your default, click “manage”, then “set as default”.

Q: Why don’t I have any printers/copiers in my list?

A: If you are not seeing the printers, you expect when logging in, it is possible you need to re-establish a connection with the Printer Logic Cloud.  Make sure that you have enabled the Chrome browser extension (see step 1 under “adding a printer”) and then navigate to https://aua.printercloud.com/ which will force a re-authentication. If the page loads correctly, you can exit Chrome, go to the bottom right in the notifications area on the Windows taskbar, click the arrow, right-click the printer logic icon, and click “refresh configuration”. If printers don’t start to appear in your list after 5 minutes, contact Help Desk.

Q: I enabled the Chrome browser extension, why does the Portal still say it isn’t installed?

A: If you visit https://aua.printercloud.com/ before you enable the extension, you may have to completely close out of all instances of Google Chrome, and then reopen it for it to recognize.

Q: How do I change my default browser to Chrome?

A: You can check your default browser by typing in “Default apps” into Windows search in the bottom left and hitting enter.  If it is Edge, click under “Web browser” and select “Google Chrome”.  Windows may pop up a dialog box to try to get you to stick with Edge… defy Microsoft and change anyway.

Q: If I sign in on another computer on a different floor, will I have the same printer list?

A: Yes, the assignment is user account based. Your printers will follow you to different computers in the office. If you need to print to a printer/copier on a different floor than your desk/office, you have to manually add it.

    Q: Should I delete printers I don’t use?

A: If you delete a printer that is assigned to you, it will re-install upon login. The only printers you can delete, are ones that you manually added yourself.
