AUA network and building security
The AUA utilizes the necessary security controls and processes to protect the organization, its assets, and its employees.
Security Training and Assessment
Security Training: KnowBe4 is the AUA’s online platform for Security Awareness Training. The Infrastructure & Security department will periodically require AUA staff to complete security training that entails watching videos and passing exams in an effort to manage the IT security problems of social engineering, spear phishing and ransomware attacks.

In our uber-connected world, it seems like cybercriminals and malicious links creep around every corner. News stories of ransomware attacks and data breaches costing millions of dollars fly past our feeds almost constantly.
We get it; it can be overwhelming. With so much information bombarding us, it can be hard to focus on the right actions to take to keep information secure.

The AUA is continuing to raise awareness about the importance of keeping up with the evolving cyberthreat landscape by providing these valuable resources to you. Building Access
- Access badges should always be worn and visible while occupying the building.
- Staff (Blue Lanyards)
- Visitors (White Lanyards)
- Temp Staff (Red Lanyards)
- Lost or misplaced access badges must be reported to Office Management immediately.
- Parking hang tags should be displayed in your vehicle while on the premises.
Visitors & Vendors
- All visitors must sign in at the guard’s desk upon arrival and obtain a Visitor’s Badge from the guard.
- Staff members must come down to the front desk to greet their guests/visitors and escort them through the building or to their area of destination.
- Visitors and Vendors must sign out and return badges before departing.
