10. Application Training

The AUA will provide training on corporate applications based on user's role

Need Training? Have a software question? Want guidance? The IT Helpdesk is here to help. We offer trainings that are specifically designed for the software programs and applications necessary for performing your job.

Business Applications

  • The Information Systems department does conduct various training sessions throughout the year. An email is sent to All Staff announcing the training session along with an agenda, session date and time and format for the training (live or webinar). Live training sessions may be limited due to computers available for hands-on training.
  • Training sessions are recorded and can be found on the Hub under the Manuals, Policies & Best Practices > Technology.
  • The best method to request customized training is to submit a Helpdesk ticket that specifies the type of training needed (i.e., Excel, Nimble AMS, Ingeniux CMS, Data Analyzer, etc.), how many users need to be trained, and a timeframe for when you need this training.

E-learning Courses

  • The Information Systems department records training sessions whenever possible and those recordings are found on the Hub under the Manuals, Policies & Best Practices > Technology.
  • The best method to request customized E-learning training sessions is to submit a Helpdesk ticket that specifies the type of training needed (e. Excel, Nimble AMS, Ingeniux CMS, Data Analyzer, etc.), how many users need to be trained and a timeframe for when you need this training.

Security Training – KnowBe4

  • The Information Systems department provides cybersecurity training at orientation and throughout your tenure at the AUA via the KnowBe4 application that is available through Okta.
  • You may receive notifications from KnowBe4 via email announcing available courses and of any mandatory training you may be required to attend.

Welcome to Nimble AMS Training

What is an AMS? An Association Management System, or AMS, is software designed specifically for association management tasks. It can provide member and customer management, event management, online giving, storefronts, order taking and processing, sales management, subscription management, education & programs support, financial management, exhibits functionality, committees support, an online portal, reporting and more.

What Training Do You Need? The training below is broken into four sections.

  1. Trainings 1 & 2: All new AUA Staff need to take these trainings.
  2. Trainings 3, 4, and 5: All staff that will be logging into the Nimble system will need to take all three of these trainings. (Not all staff need a Nimble account, as you will learn in Training #2. Talk to your supervisor about whether you need a Nimble account or not.)
  3. Trainings 6 & 7: Your supervisor may require you to take these, but if not they are recommended (but not required) for Nimble users.
  4. Trainings 8 through 16: These trainings relate to specific business areas of the AUA. Talk to your supervisor about which ones you should take.

If you have any questions, please email helpdesk@AUAnet.org.
