Executive Vice President: Research, Quality and Scientific Affairs

The American Urological Association is the premier association for the advancement of urologic patient care. We are actively recruiting an Executive Vice President:  Research, Quality and Scientific Affairs. This position will work in the Linthicum, MD office.

As one of the key spokespersons for the AUA, the Executive Vice President (EVP) in charge of Research, Quality and Scientific Affairs reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for establishing and implementing the strategic direction of the Data, Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, Research, and Practice Guidelines departments in achieving AUA's mission, and growing these core program areas of the organization. The EVP strategizes with leadership on global goals and objectives in concert with the Chief Executive Officer and direct reports and serves as an active member of the Executive Team by implementing Board of Director policies and making association-wide operating decisions. In partnership with the AUA Secretary, Treasurer and Council and Committee Chairs, serves as liaison between all committees relative to assigned Departments/Programs and Board of Directors. State Advocacy Manager

Payment Policy Analyst

Quality Coordinator

Marketing & Communications Intern

The American Urological Association is the premier association for the advancement of urologic patient care is presently recruiting for two (2) Marketing & Communciations (MarComm) Intern(s). The position(s) is based at the AUA office in Linthicum, MD working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for June and July 2018.

The MarComm intern(s) will support the Marketing & Communications and Patient Education (PE) departments by assisting in the development, planning and implementation of AUA/Foundation projects. The intern will work on a myriad of projects for the MarComm/PE teams to maximize the intern's exposure to various roles and responsibilities within the Marketing & Communications field, and to provide support and assistance to the entire MarComm/PE staff. 

The goal for our summer interns is to expose the student to the breadth of Marketing & Communications, while providing actual work experience in the field of Marketing & Communications. In addition to the projects outlined below, the intern would be included in team meetings (and other project-related meetings) to gain greater exposure to the inner-workings of a business environment.  

Specific projects include, but are not limited to:

I. Assist in Content Development for AUA2019 Website

  • Skills Learned: Content review; copywriting and editing; project management; visual communications.

Payment Policy Manager
