CMS Extends the 2022 MIPS EUC Application Deadline
As a reminder, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has extended the MIPS Extreme and Uncontrollable Circumstances (EUC) application deadline for individuals, groups, virtual groups, and APM entities citing COVID-19 as their triggering event. The new deadline for clinicians to file for an exemption is Friday, March 3, 2023 at 8pm EST.
If you are experiencing a hardship, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we encourage you to look into whether this option is right for you. Should you decide to opt for the 2022 EUC exemption, we ask that you notify your AQUA Registry Client Account Coordinator (CAC), AQUA@auanet.org, at your earliest convenience.
